Weekend in Florence

Added byLoicMopingo

Three days in Florence on a shoestring budget, to experience the city without breaking the bank and while meeting lots of people.

The YellowSquare hostel serves as a social base camp, with an initial culinary immersion at the Mercato Centrale. A free walking tour helps you get your bearings and kicks off the day with insider tips before a memorable sunset over the city from Piazzale Michelangelo.

The next day, the climb to Giotto's Campanile offers a superb panorama, the street food of All'Antico Vinaio satisfies the appetite and Santa Croce adds a touch of history, before a convivial aperitivo on the very lively Piazza Santo Spirito.

On the last day, the Parco delle Cascine offers a chance to relax in nature, then it's time to enjoy local flavors with a quick lampredotto and an inexpensive dinner at the Trattoria da Rocco.
