Jardin Naturel Pierre-Emmanuel

park Park
This garden, created in 1995 and covering 6,300 m², showcases the wild plants that once grew in the capital, when Paris still smelled of the countryside. A sunny pond, a shady undergrowth, and a flowering meadow provide a pleasant haven for insects and migratory birds.

Église Saint-Jean-Bosco

account_balance Historic Monument
Built from 1933 to 1937, this Catholic church displays an art deco style created by the Romanian architect Dumitru Rotter and his son René.

Its 53-meter-high bell tower dominates the surroundings and inside, one can admire stained glass windows by Jean Gaudin and Antoine Bessac as well as ornaments and altars made by the Maujéman workshop, considered a dynasty of master glassmakers and mosaicists who distinguished themselves over three generations.

Jardin partagé de la Cité Leroy

park Park
60m long and 4m wide, the Leroy estate is a small dead end that its inhabitants cherish by letting vegetation grow in the small gardens and covering it with pots of plants and shrubs.

As you stroll through Cité Leroy and Villa de l'Ermitage, you will rediscover a bit of the bucolic and popular atmosphere of the old working-class Ménilmontant, characterized by a succession of fragile cottages, flowery gardens and old workshops.

Parc de Belleville

park Park
In the heart of Belleville hill, Belleville Park offers one of the most beautiful views of Paris. A little-known panorama that you can enjoy almost entirely alone.

Laid out in terraces, Belleville Park recalls the viticultural past of this hill, which until the 19th century was home to numerous vineyards and where Parisians would come to drink Ginguet, a wine that later gave its name to the Guinguettes, popular Parisian cabarets. You can also see, at the end of Rue Piat, a vineyard composed of 160 Pinot Meunier vines and 27 Chardonnay vines, planted here in 1992.

Place Fréhel

visibility Highlight
Place Fréhel has been a Belleville hub for street art since the 1980s, notably with Ben's installation ("Il faut se méfier des mots") and Jean le Gac's mural. Located at the intersection of Rue de Belleville and Rue Julien Lacroix, it's where the Culture Rapide café has set up its terrace and community garden. We hear Pilote le Hot describing the square's evolution since his arrival in 2006.

Villa Belleville

interests Other
Villa Belleville is a very "lively" art venue in the Belleville district, which supports emerging creation by offering workspaces, artist residencies and engagement programs with residents.

The Villa organizes studio visits and artistic introductions with residents.

Remember to check the program on their website (exhibitions, open days, workshops), because events vary.

La Campagne à Paris

hiking Hiking
This charming little housing estate was once a workers' village perched above the Porte de Bagnolet. Formerly a working-class neighborhood, it now comprises around a hundred elegant residences, often surrounded by greenery.

Its cobbled streets create a unique ensemble of brick and millstone houses, pointed roofs, and Anglo-Norman and Alsatian influences. An unusual spot not to be missed.
